This Power BI (level 3) course is an intensive three-day course that is designed for Data Stewards and pro-Information workers who want to learn utilize the most of the tools available in the Power BI stack, including the Power BI Cloud Portal. We’ll learn the importance of building good models, we’ll learn how to use some important DAX as well as Power Query to shape additional information that can be found in external data sources.

Additionally, you’ll learn to manage your Datasets and Dataflows to implement a good data culture environment for your organization. You’ll also use the new Power BI cloud platform as a way of Deploying/sharing/distributing your reports and dashboards, and utilize extra
features such as building interactive and streaming dashboards, use and manage Q&A as well as setting up and manage Data refresh and alerts for your queries and sources.

Beskrivning

Background

You’ll learn to understand when to use Import/DirectQuery/live Connections and Composite Models. The course will also explain the basic optimization options available, like Aggregation tables, Incremental Refresh and more. Lastly you’ll also learn how to package and distribute a whole solution by configuring and deploying Apps. This course does not emphasise on flashy Visualizations. Instead the main focus here is more on the backend and some management as well.

Audience

This training is targeted for Data professionals such as data Stewards, or Power users that are looking to design their own Power BI solutions. In other words, this course will take the Self- Service-Business- Intelligence (SSBI) concept to its edge.

Prerequisites

Basic understanding of DAX and you have created reports in Power BI Desktop. Basic understanding of data warehouse schemas and Cubes. Basic knowledge about databases and ETL flows Introducing the Power BI Platform
